Another great Sydney Vintage Fair - actually the 10th! As always, the atmosphere matched the wonderful vintage wares for sale, the entertainment and the buzz of thousands of visitors. My theme this year was a celebration of seriously glam dresses suitable for a Bond Girl. Glittery and slinky lame evening dresses graced the catwalk accompanied by Penelope singing all the Bond favourites like 'Diamonds are Forever' and 'Goldfinger' with Chris on guitar. I came away from the 3 day fair with armloads of goodies - a flowery hat and stylish 70s dress with a bold pattern of tulips printed on it from 'Through the Looking Glass', a fab woven raffia 2 dress and top from the 50s (made in Florence), a FANTASTIC pair of pale pink platform shoes from the late 60s, lots of 80s earrings and heaps more. Do I need anything more, you ask? Of course - a collector can never stop! The next Sydney Vintage Fair will be held 14 - 16th October. AND for the first time, the Melbourne Vintage Fair - organised by Janel Morrissey - will be held the 27 - 29th May. Look froward to seeing you there. I am working with a shop in Melbourne called 'Dear Gladys' whose profits support the charity 'Fitted For Work'.
